Brittany and Hernan's love story is one of adventure, laughter, and overcoming obstacles. They met in the beginning of 2017 and quickly became friends. Unfortunately, Hernan was on a work visa and was destined to leave the country for work. Just four months later, he moved to Mexico.

Despite the distance, Brittany and Hernan continued to talk every day. They shared a love of laughter, food, and adventure, and in November of 2017, Brittany took her first solo out-of-country trip to visit Hernan in Mexico City.

They had so much fun exploring the city together that they even missed two flights to Cancun so they could get to the island of Holbox!

A year later, it was still not guaranteed that Hernan would be able to come back to the Midwest. But after a lot of paperwork and appointments, he finally got a final date and was set to arrive back in the states, this time with a cat he named Mr. Meow.

Fast forward a year later, and Brittany introduced Hernan to her son Ayden. They ultimately moved in together during the pandemic in 2020.

In 2021, they took a major step together and bought their first house.

Then, in the spring of 2022, while on a trip with Hernan's parents, Hernan proposed to Brittany in Austria outside Durnstein Castle, famous for the capture of King Richard the Lionheart.

But their happy ending wasn't quite yet written. On the way back from this exciting trip, Hernan was not able to come back to the United States due to a technical error on his passport. He spent the summer of 2022 in Poland waiting for a consulate appointment and finally came back in the fall.

Despite all of the challenges they've faced, Brittany and Hernan's love for each other has only grown stronger. They are so excited to celebrate their wedding with their loved ones and start their next chapter together as husband and wife.

P.S. Don't worry, we'll have plenty of tacos and laughter at the wedding welcome party, just ask Mr. Meow (he's the official taste-tester)
